Request for Bharat Ratna in Sridevi’s honour put forward

If news is to be believed veteran South actress Sharadha has demanded that the late Sridevi should be awarded the highest Indian honour.

According to Times of India, the South actress put forward Sridevi’s name for a Bharat Ratna for her work in all types of Indian cinema, during an emotional speech at a tribunal meeting in Chennai. With the actress having worked in over 300 films in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and more, Sharadha expressed how much the late actress deserves the award.

However, not everyone agreed, and many argued that their request of having the late N T Rama Two, Former Chair Minister of Andhur Pradesh be honoured the award, has been pending for the last 21 years.

Sharadha expressed how Sridevi should be awarded the great award immediately, however with not all in favour it seems it may take a while before any decisions will be made.
