Remo Fernandes booked for verbally abusing minor

Pop singer Remo Fernandes is in news but for all the bad reasons as he has been booked for threatening a minor girl at Goa Medical College, who had been hit by his son Jonah’s car early this month and is currently undergoing treatment.

According to PTI, the 62-year old singer is booked under stringent Section 8 of Goa Children’s Act, on the girl’s complaint.

“The accident occurred on December 2 when the girl from Malvan in Maharashtra was walking towards Old Goa, to complete her vow to St Francis Xaviers and was allegedly hit by the car of Jonah (Remo’s son),” police said.

Fernandes was issued summons on the basis of the statement recorded by the victim.

According to the reports, Fernandes has been unavailable since that incident. He has been called and texted many times, but there has been no reply received from him, so far.
