Remo D’Souza confirms ‘Race 3’ to roll in November

Remo D’Souza is all set to take on the ‘Race’ franchise for its third instalment where he’ll be directing Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez. The director has confirmed that the film will be going on the floors in November.

D’Souza is quoted by Mid-Day, “Pre-production work for Race 3 has begun. I leave for a recce in the Gulf today, among other places. Most of the film will be shot abroad. It rolls by November”.

Abbas-Mustan were the brains behind the first two films in the franchise and when D’Souza was asked about stepping into their shoes, he replies, “I can’t be compared to them. They are the baap of all directors. I am taking up this film as a challenge and am eager to go beyond the dance genre. The Race franchise has slick thrills and great music; I am fond of both elements”.

The filmmaker also said that only Khan has been finalised as being on the cast on the film, “Other than Salman, no other cast member has been announced yet. I am aware that a lot of names are being tossed around, but the rumours are not true”.

Interestingly, Fernandez made her own announcement not long ago.
