Remainder of IPL 2021 to be held in UAE this September/October

After the Indian Premier League 2021 was abruptly halted due to the rise of coronavirus infections in India, the BCCI has confirmed today that the remaining schedule will now be held in the UAE this September/October.

ESPNCricInfo reports that the IPL has been tentatively scheduled to take place on 20th September.

In a statement released by BCCI, it said, “The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday announced to complete the remaining matches of VIVO Indian Premier League 2021 season in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) considering the monsoon season in India in the months of September-October this year.”
