Reliance to launch Sports18 in India this April

Reliance’s Network18 has confirmed the launch of its upcoming sports channel, Sports18.

The channel will be available from 15th April 2022. It has already acquired the rights for FIFA World Cup, LaLiga, FIFA World Cup 2022, Serie A and French Ligue 1.

Sports18 will launch in both standard and high definition. It will also reportedly launch Sports18 2 and Hindi channel, Sports18 Khel.

The broadcaster will be bidding for the upcoming cycle of IPL rights, competing with Disney Star and Sony Pictures Networks.
