Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited and leading media production company, Roy Kapur Films founded by Siddharth Roy Kapur have announced a collaboration regarding original digital video.

Hindustan Times reports that the content for the Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited platform will be chosen, developed, commissioned and innovatively produced by Roy Kapur Films. This exclusive collaboration between Roy Kapur Films and Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited is a major development in alliances formed between the fast developing entertainment, technology and telecom industries.

Kapur’s role as the Managing Director of Disney India, and previously as studio head of UTV has seen him produce ground-breaking films such as ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ (2008), ‘Delhi Belly’ (2011), ‘Barfi’ (2012), ‘PK’ (2014), and ‘Dangal’ (2016).

His films have been some the most commercially successful of the past decade and have continuously set new standards by taking Indian cinema to the next level. With this innovative association with Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, Kapur is ready to do the same with digital media content.
