Rekha to star in new Sahara One show?

Bollywood favourite, Rekha is expected to star in Sahara One’s upcoming show, ‘Ganga Ki Deej’.

The show, which starts in September, will be a part of Sahara One’s ongoing revival plans.

‘Ganga Ki Deej’ is being produced by filmmaker Harry Baweja and will also star Bollywood actor Kabir Bedi. According to sources, “The name of the show as of now is Ganga Ki Deej. Kabir Bedi has been finalised to play a Thakur and the makers are planning to rope in actress Rekha opposite him. There is some confusion prevailing however, things are being worked out with her although she will be doing the show in all probability.”

Leena Jhumani and Mohit Raina will also be a part of the new show.

It must be added that Sahara One has previously dabbled with Bollywood stars appearing on many shows but they have proved failures. Karisma Kapoor starred in a drama called ‘Karisma Ka Karishma’, while Sridevi did ‘Malini Iyer’ – both failed to bring in audiences for the channel.

Sahara One unveiled its new on-air image in June with a couple of new shows.
