Rekha celebrates her 58th birthday

Bollywood icon, Rekha is celebrating her 58th birthday today.

The superstar of yesteryears was born as South Indian beauty Banurekha Ganeshan and quickly reigned the Bollywood film industry.

Even though her career took off on a slow note due to her unconventional look, she soon became one of the top of actresses of her time after scoring some of the biggest box office hits in the history of Indian cinema.

One film synonymous with Rekha has been ‘Umrao Jaan’ (1981), cinemagoers were left stunned with her portrayal of a courtesan and till date no actress has been able to match her grace while doing a mujra.
