‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’ sequel in the works?

The 2001 romantic-comedy, ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’ will reportedly have a sequel, 20 years after its initial release.

The film starring R Madhavan and Dia Mirza, did not work well at the box office but the soundtrack continues to remain a firm favourite amongst Bollywood music lovers. Mid-Day reports that the makers have now found a script, which would be apt for the sequel. It further states that the original duo Madhavan and Mirza are expected to reprise their roles in part two of the film.

A source told the publication, “The makers toyed with some concepts, on and off, over the years. Only now have they found a script that has appealed to everyone and seems a natural progression to the lives of Maddy and Reena [the characters essayed by Madhavan and Mirza respectively]. The script is in the final stage of development.”
