Regional movies given slot on ZEE Cinema

29

After huge demand from viewers, ZEE Network’s flagship
movie channel ZEE Cinema will from next month start
showing regional movies Monday through to Thursday at
13:00. Avid ZEE Cinema viewers may remember that the
channel did previously screen non-Hindi movies but later
switched to broadcasting just Bollywood films.

A year down the line, the channel is now reverting back
to old ways in a move, which will prove hugely popular
with regional language speaking viewers.

From Monday 2nd August, the daytime ZEE Cinema schedule
will look as below:
Mondays at 13:00 – Marathi movie
Tuesdays at 13:00 – Bengali movie
Wednesdays at 13:00 – South Indian movie
Thursdays at 13:00 – Gujrati movie

Also worth noting, ZEE TV will be shortly beginning a
Gujrati programme band, in which it will showcase some
programmes from its sister station from India – Alpha
Gujrati. A channel for Gujrati viewers currently lacks
on UK satellite TV.
