Reema Kagti’s ‘Mr Chaloo’ still facing casting woes?

When Priyanka Chopra spoke to BizAsia about being unsure about whether she and Fawad Khan would be seen together in Reema Kagti’s ‘Mr Chaloo’, it seemed that this casting may also not work out. As there has been nothing else said, it seems the film is still facing problems. Producer Farhan Akhtar has spoken about the project.

“Reema is a very strong person. She will find a solution. Every film has to go through its natural cycle of casting. I don�۪t think there is any director who hasn�۪t faced such problems. It is unfortunate that she has to go through it,” said Akhtar to Deccan Chronicle.

He also spoke about Saif Ali Khan’s initial admittance that he will be in the film, only to refuse to be a part of it publicly too, “(Long pause) There is bound to be a sense of disappointment when something like this happens just when you�۪re ready to start your film. I also empathise with her because I�۪ve gone through it myself.”

Akhtar will be seen next with Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Wazir’ in which the latter plays a chess champion. Talking about whether he plays chess in real life, Akhtar revealed, “��I know how to play chess. But Wazir is not really about the game of chess.�� Of course Mr Bachchan�۪s character is a master chess player in the film. But the film isn�۪t about the game.”

Akhtar is currently busy shooting for ‘Rock On 2’.
