Reconciliation on the cards for Arijit Singh & Salman Khan?

Some readers may remember the alleged fall out between Salman Khan and Arijit Singh two years ago, over the track ‘Jag Ghoomeya’ from ‘Sultan’ (2016). Well rumours suggest the duo may have reconciled their differences.

The rift between Khan and Singh first came about, when the ‘Aashiqui 2’ (2013) singer took to Facebook pleading to Khan to feature his version of the song, but instead Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s version was used in the film. The post also touched upon a conversation they had at an award function too, which may have added to the tension. But now, according to DNA India, there is speculation that Singh may be coming on board to record a song for the ‘Tubelight’ (2017) actor’s next – ‘Welcome To New York’.

A source has indicated the two are in talks, “Salman is very keen on collaborating with Arijit and has already approached him for one of his upcoming films. There’s no truth to reports of Salman banning Arijit from his films. It would be advisable for everyone to stop spreading baseless rumours and wait for an official announcement.”

However, previous to the above statement, another source implied if Singh was ousted, it was because Khan is only making a cameo appearance in ‘Welcome To New York’. “He needs to get this right that Welcome To New York is not Salman’s film. He just has one special appearance in the film so why will he even get into the music space? He himself is surprised after reading these baseless reports. Maybe Arijit could have lost out on the song because of his own monetary differences with the producers. After all, it’s the producers who take the final call.”

Let’s watch this space!

‘Welcome To New York’ is an all star cast with, Diljit Dosanjh, Sonakshi Sinha, Karan Johar, Lara Dutta, Boman Irani and Riteish Deshmukh, slated to release on the 23rd February.
