Raveena Tandon will only do roles with “grace, dignity & respect”?

Raveena Tandon was undoubtedly one of the top actresses during her peak in the 1990s, especially popular for her dance numbers in commercial films. However, she has become highly selective over the years post-marriage and children.

Absolute India quote Tandon as having said on a radio show, “I can�۪t sign any movie just for the sake of doing it. I want to take up roles with grace, dignity and respect. One needs to grow with time and there are roles which I can�۪t pull off now. So one has to mature and evolve with age. I am open to any genre but nothing strikes me when it comes to choosing films. I always want to do movies on subjects which are closer to my heart.”

Tandon is currently working on Onir’s ‘Shab’, in which her character has grey shades, and ‘Maatr’ which is about woman empowerment.
