Ranvir Shorey: “Blue Mountains is story that needs to be made”

Ranvir Shorey while being a celebrated actor has also had his fair share of reality television, his close proximity to the participants of reality television, apparently, compelled him to sign up for his latest film ‘Blue Mountains’.

“It is a rather myopic view if people think reality television is only what they see on the television. What we see is the journey of the winners, the journey of the kids who have done well and succeeded, but there are thousands of those who participate and don’t win. It is their crushed dreams that compelled me to sign ‘Blue Mountains’. A film about a journey of a small town boy into the world of reality television. It is not easy being those kids, and with the film I took that journey with them. It is this side of reality television that needs to be showcased. When I read the script, I knew here’s a story that needs to be made,” exclaimed Shorey.

‘Blue Mountains’ emphasises on family values, importance of parenting and also explains how the surrounding plays an equal role in creating the future. Film is produce by Raujesh Jain. The music of the film has been composed by the late Adesh Srivastava, Monty Sharma and Sandeep Surya with playback by musical maestros such as Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghosal, Kailash Kher, Suraj Jagan, Sadhna Sargam and Yatharth Rathnam.

Just like the changing colors of the Blue Mountains through the changing seasons, the film explores changing human emotions and journeys beyond mere winning or losing in life. The film stars Ranvir Shorey, Gracy Singh, Rajpal Yadav and Yatharth Rathnam.

Presented by Krish Movies, ‘Blue Mountains’ is slated to hit theatres across India on 7th April, 2017.
