Ranveer to fly home for Deepika’s father’s birthday in between IIFA weekend?

Ranveer Deepika

The beautiful Deepika Padukone may still be basking in the success of her last movie Piku۪ but it seems in her personal life she۪s getting ready for an important day. Apparently, along with her family, the actress is planning a birthday party for her father Prakash who is about to celebrate his 60th birthday and alleged beau Ranveer Singh will be there for the event.

Singh, who is currently amidst a hugely busy schedule, is expected to fly from Malaysia back to Bangalore to bring in Prakash’s birthday. He will undertake a dress rehearsal with Arjun Kapoor with whom he is hosting the main event of the IIFAs before jetting back to the sub-continent for the party. A source spoke to Mumbai Mirror, “Ranveer had informed the event organisers that he will not be available for a day as Prakash Padukone’s birthday bash was planned well in advance and he had promised Deepika he would be there. And he’s known to always keep his word. After spending the day with Padukone Sr, he’ll fly back to Malaysia on June 6, returning to Bhansali’s set three days later”. The actor has also been preoccupied with promos of his forthcoming film, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’.

Padukone, when asked recently about whether her relationship with her own father drew any similarity with her character۪s in Piku۪ with her father played by Amitabh Bachchan, said, according to DNA India, Similar and different at the same time. Similar from the comfort point of view, the love and respect that I have for my father and the comfort that I share with him. But like all daughters, I look up to him and like every woman wants her husband to be like her father, I do too. So, of course, all of that is there though I do believe that people like my dad are extremely rare. and what’s different is the age factor.”

“Bhashkor’s age in the film and the issues that he deals with are very, very different from what my dad is going through, but I guess what I can definitely say is that I think Piku has prepared me for my parents’ latter years,” she further stated.

Prakash is best known as a former Indian badminton player who won accolades in his time. He will turn 60 on 10th June and no doubt will be more than happy to have his daughter and her rumoured boyfriend by him and his family’s side for his special day.
