Ranveer Singh is playing an antagonist for the first time in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’. Singh who has experimented with various hairstyles in his seven year career, including going bald for another Bhansali direction, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ (2015), had people shocked when his look for ‘Padmaavat’ was revealed. His trainer Mustafa Ahmed has revealed that his character look was inspired from Khal Drogo, an character from ‘Game of Thrones’.
Talking to Pinkvilla, Ahmed said, “Ranveer and I sat down to discuss the Khilji look and to my surprise, both of us were of the same opinion, that we should use Khal Drogo from GOT as a reference point and we worked with that. Khal Drogo’s physique is something we set as a goal and were happy when comparisons were made.”
Singh was last seen in Aditya Chopra’s ‘Befikre’ (2016).
