Since the day he first stepped onto our screens it was easy to see that Ranveer Singh was an electrifying character. From his wacky dress codes to his constant infectious smile, he definitely someone who is full of life. However, according to reports the actor was told to tone down his enthusiasm on the sets of his forthcoming ”Bajirao Mastani’.

The song ‘Malhari’ in particular called for more serious scenes, so filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali told Singh to show his serious side. “It was difficult to control my energy. It was a task. For ‘Malhari’, I was asked to control my energy as it would not go with the film. I love being on the sets and doing work. I love it,” NDTV reported the actor explaining.

Being very passionate about his work, Singh went onto add, “There is nothing called ‘give up’ in my dictionary. I would continue to work even when I would be dying. I don’t know where I get the energy from. I remember, Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir was in the sound room when he first made me hear the song Malhari (victory song). I was excited and I was jumping in the studio and couldn’t wait to shoot the song.”

From the looks of the trailers, it seems Singh has definitely done a great job. Set to release on 18th December, ”Bajirao Mastani’ also stars Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.
