Ranveer Singh on musical frenzy in London

Being from a business that is all about song and dance, one would think someone from the Indian film industry would want to take a break from it all when he or she is on holiday. However, it’s quite the contrary with Ranveer Singh who apparently has indulged into watching a number of West-End musicals during his break in London,

“It’s almost a secret that Ranveer loves to watch theatre in the musicals format. The sheer energy, grandeur and vibrant nature of Broadway and the West End have always gotten him hooked to the format,” Hindustan Times reports a source revealing.

It added, “In fact, even before he left for the UK capital, he had planned to catch three musicals. So, he watched ‘Thriller’ on Sunday evening, and ‘School of Rock’ and ‘Aladdin’ on Monday.”

Currently working with the actor for the third time in ‘Padmavati’, is Sanjay Leela Bhansali who shares the same love for musicals as the actor. “In fact, Ranveer encourages Bhansali to take one of their films to Broadway. Ranveer has often told Bhansali that both ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela’ (2013) and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ (2015) can be presented on Broadway, as they have emotional stories with loads of colour, drama and singing and dancing. The actor and film-maker are both very fond of musicals, so let’s see if one of their films turns into a musical someday.”

If the seed has been planted, there may well could be a Bhansali theatre production.
