Ranveer & Deepika avoiding public appearances together

Much has been speculated about why Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are no longer seen together. Rumours have also suggested the duo, who have been dating for quite some time, have separated. However, the latest update is that apparently they are consciously avoiding public appearances together owing to their characters in their upcoming film, ‘Padmavati’.

A source informed Deccan Chronicle, “She (Deepika) plays the warrior queen who refuses to surrender to his demands for any meeting. Since they play mutually hostile characters, they thought it best to avoid being seen together in public. Reports of the two parting ways in real life are a mere reflection of the distance they are meant to keep in their on-screen roles.”

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, ‘Padmavati’ also stars Shahid Kapoor and is slated to release in November.
