Rangoli Chandel accuses Alia Bhatt of award fixing?

There is controversy surrounding Alia Bhatt’s win at the Star Screen Awards 2019, which took place on Sunday 8th December in Mumbai.

According to Asian Age, Bhatt was apparently spotted backstage with her award for Best Actress (Popular Choice) for her role in ‘Gully Boy’ (2019), before the event had actually even started. A video that is in circulation shows Bhatt’s manager asking the paparazzi’s not to post the photos up immediately, “You won’t be putting it up now?”, they agree and reply the photos will be posted an hour later.

Of course, this didn’t go unnoticed by Rangoli Chandel who took to social media to suggest Bhatt had fixed the award. Her post read: “Chalo itni honesty toh hai ki yeh kaam chup ke kar rahi ho, sabke samne nahin, achcha laga kuch toh bacha hai andar abhi bhi jo rok raha hai (At least she is honest enough to do this dirty work secretly, and not in front of everyone, feels good to know that something still remains to hold her back).”

No official statement has been made by Bhatt or the event organisers regarding this situation.
