Randhir Kapoor opens up on daughter Karisma’s divorce

As recently reported by BizAsia, after a long battle, Karisma Kapoor won custody of her children and her divorce with Sunjay Kapoor is expected to be fuked by mutual consent on 13th June. Karisma’s father, Randhir Kapoor, recently spoke about the family matter.

TNN quote Randhir as saying, “I don’t know if it is a good or a bad thing, it is certainly a sad moment for our family. The only silver lining in this is that the children will spend most part of the year with us. Karisma has been through a rough time in the last few years. It has been emotionally draining for her. So, I hope the verdict offers her some respite.”

Karisma married businessman Sunjay Kapoor in 2003, while she was at the peak of her acting career. She took a sabbatical from acting since, having signed and completed only one film post-marriage: ‘Dangerous Ishhq’ (2012).

The couple has two children: Samaira and Kiaan.
