Ranbir-Shahid to star in ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ sequel

A lot has been written about the sequel of ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ (1994), with latest reports suggesting that Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor could be starring together in the Rajkumar Santoshi film.

The director is finding it difficult to re-unite original stars Salman Khan and Aamir Khan and hence he might opt for younger actors instead. Filmfare reports that Santoshi has been impressed with Kapoor’s comedy timing in ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’ (2013), while he has already had a hit with Ranbir with ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ (2009).

Last week, BizAsia reported that Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon were keen to make a comeback in the sequel, however, with younger male stars looking likely, it remains to be seen who will be cast opposite Ranbir-Shahid.
