BizAsiaLive.com reported recently that Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanjay Dutt biopic has been pushed to release in June. The reason for this is apparently Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Brahmastra’.
Kapoor is currently in the midst of preparing for his role in the Ayan Mukerji directorial, though it’s become difficult to stick to the time in which he had promised Hirani. “The fantasy adventure is taking up a lot of his time, and Kapoor has asked Hirani for some time off the ‘Dutt’ biopic,” SpotboyE reports a source revealing.
The insider went on to add, “Ranbir asked Rajkumar Hirani for bulk dates, he wanted to be excused for a considerable period to concentrate on ‘Brahmastra’. The director was happy to accommodate Ranbir and Ayan’s request.”
Hirani has managed to bring together a stellar star-cast including Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karishma Tanna,
The original release date was 30th March, however the film will hit the big screens now on 29th June.
