Ranbir Kapoor voices tribute to grand-uncle Shashi Kapoor

Shashi Kapoor’s career spanned a number of years and no doubt it would have been an unforgettable moment to witness his grand-nephew Ranbir Kapoor pay tribute to his years in cinema at the recent presentation of the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards in which Kapoor.

Ranbir referred to his grand-uncle in a special documentary video as a “an icon”. The room, according to NDTV, was filled with applause when the video came to an end. Many well-known names and previous co-stars of Kapoor were also a part of the video.

Amitabh Bachchan commented, “He would accept a project even though he had to work on four different films at the same time. He would be disciplined and punctual for all of them. And I admired this”.

Kapoor was unable to attend and collect his award due to his ill-health.
