Ranbir Kapoor told to keep a low profile?

Ranbir Kapoor has sparked a lot of interest and curiosity with his transformation for Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanjay Dutt biopic. So much so that Hirani has asked Kapoor to keep a low profile.

So why the strict orders? According to Bollywood Life, Hirani doesn’t want to reveal too much and wants to keep the suspense until the film is released. However the orders are not just for Kapoor, they have been extended to the full cast and crew, with clear instructions that nothing should be leaked from the sets, including a ban on using mobile phones whilst on set.

A close source shared, “Ranbir has also been asked to make as few public appearances as he can. Manisha Koirala, too, will have to sport a particular look and right now, her clothes and accessories are being finalised. Hirani wants the audience to see everything on the big screen, and is taking steps to ensure no pictures or information gets leaked. Hirani’s film sets are guarded well to prevent information leaks. This biopic on Dutt has generated immense curiosity, so he is being even stricter with his cast. Vicky Kaushal, who plays Dutt’s best friend, has also been asked to stay away from attending any events or parties as they don’t want anyone to find out how he looks.”

The film also stars Paresh Rawal, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor and Karishma Tanna, and is slated to release later this year.
