Ranbir Kapoor to replace SRK in Rakesh Sharma biopic?

Filmmakers of the pending biopic ‘Saare Jahaan Se Achha’, have yet to confirm the actor who will play the role of the first Indian astronaut, Rakesh Sharma.

Initially Shah Rukh Khan had been announced to play Sharma, but some rumours suggest that after the poor performance of ‘Zero’ (2018) at the box office, Khan apparently decided against doing the film. According to Times Now News, there is a new name that has been put forward to replace Khan – Ranbir Kapoor. It has been said the filmmakers are keen on signing Kapoor for the part and this announcement will be made soon.

Previously Vicky Kaushal and Kartik Aaryan have also been mentioned as a possibility. But, recently when Aamir Khan was asked about the ‘Raees’ (2017) actor leaving the film, he maintained nothing has changed, “Isn’t Shah Rukh Khan doing that film? Those are only reports, let’s wait until he makes an announcement about it.” The ‘Secret Superstar’ (2017) actor was the one who put Khan forward for the biopic.

Seems like the guessing game continues until an official statement is given from either Khan or the filmmakers.
