Ranbir Kapoor to kick off ‘Shamshera’ shoot on Saturday

The shoot of Yash Raj Films’ big movie, ‘Shamshera,’ which pits Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt against each other on the big screen, kicks off tomorrow in Mumbai.
The late Yash Chopra started a tradition at  Yash Raj Films, where he invited all the cast and crew members of a movie that would go on floors for a customary pooja. This tradition continues even today, reports DNA India.

The pooja for ‘Shamshera’ was attended by Ranbir, Vaani Kapoor, who plays his love interest and director Karan Malhotra. Dutt couldn’t attend the ceremony as he was busy with prior commitments.
The ‘Sanju’ (2018) actor had delivered his first hit with the banner’s ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ (2008) and garnered critical acclaim for his performance in ‘Rocket Singh: Salesman of The Year’ (2009). Malhotra said, “It was amazing to have Shamshera’s cast and crew under one roof before we dive into shooting our film. All of us are excited to start this journey.”

The high-octane adventure, which is set in the heartland of India, will not only have jaw-dropping action sequences, but also features Ranbir in a never-seen-before avatar. The film’s shoot will wrap by mid-2019.
