Ranbir Kapoor rubbishes rumours of Lord Shiva role

Earlier this week, BizAsia reported that Ranbir Kapoor was to play the role of Lord Shiva in the Hindi version of novel ‘The Immortals of Meluha’. The actor has denied the news in a recent interview.

According to IBN Live, Kapoor said, “Yes I read it in the newspapers… but that is not true. It is completely untrue. ”

News has it that Karan Johar has acquired the rights of the novel from author Amish Tripathi and the movie will go on the floors next year with Ayan Mukerji as director.

Kapoor revealed plans of working with Mukerji once again in a superhero film, “Ayan is still writing his film. The idea is to make a superhero film but I guess the script is not ready and I am not in a position to say anything.”
