Ranbir Kapoor revives RK banner with Sriram Raghavan film

Ranbir Kapoor is reviving his grandfather, the late Raj Kapoor�۪s production banner. Rumour has it that he has already started working on a new film, to be directed Sriram Raghavan under the RK Films banner.

A source told Mid-Day, “Ranbir was recently approached by director Sriram Raghavan with a script. After listening to it, Ranbir felt this could be just the right film for the banner. He has sought help from dad Rishi Kapoor to supervise the script and to make sure that it turns out to be a commercial film. Rishi will eventually be producing the film.”

RK Films is renowned for super hit blockbusters like ‘Barsaat’ (1949), ‘Sangam’ (1964) and ‘Bobby’ (1973). Their last film under the banner was ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalein’ (1999).
