Ranbir Kapoor: “Prefer people calling us the first Ranbir & Deepika”

Ranbir Kapoor��and Deepika Padukone are regarded as one of Bollywood’s top on-screen couples today. The audiences were left in awe with their on-screen chemistry in their last release together, ‘Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani’ (2013). While they gear up for their next release, ‘Tamasha’, Kapoor says that he would like to be called the first Ranbir and Deepika more than anything else.

Recent reports had put this duo against another iconic couple, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, with them being touted as the next Shah Rukh-Kajol. Kapoor and Padukone were questioned about this title at the recent ‘Tamasha’ event. While they both were elated, Kapoor says there can’t be any comparison to Khan and Kajol. He told Pinkvilla, “That is indeed a compliment. But I��don’t think anyone can be compared to SRK and Kajol. I would rather prefer people calling us the first Ranbir and Deepika more than anything else.”

‘Tamasha’ is directed by Imtiaz Ali, and is slated to release on 27th November.
