Ranbir Kapoor to play Udham Singh?

As recently reported by BizAsiaLive.com , Shoojit Sircar has apparently approached Ranbir Kapoor for an upcoming film. Rumour has it that the project is a biopic on the life of freedom fighter Udham Singh.

A source informed Absolute India, “Shoojit Sircar, who wanted to make the movie on martyr Udham Singh, had quite a few actors in mind. But it was Ranbir Kapoor who managed to win Shoojit’s heart and confidence. While the actor still hasn’t given final his nod for the film, he has really liked the script and will take a call in few days.”

Sircar is keen on bringing to life the story of the “forgotten hero” as all youngsters may not have heard much about him.

Kapoor is currently busy shooting for the Sanjay Dutt biopic, after which he steps into Ayan Mukerji’s next.
