Ranbir Kapoor full of praise for Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Ranbir Kapoor in 'Saawariya'

After having made his debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’ (2007), Ranbir Kapoor has never worked under Bhansali’s directorial wand again. However, the actor is full of praise for his first director.

At a recent event, when he was asked what phase of his life he would like to write about if given the chance, Kapoor chose the experience of when heworked with Bhansali as an assistant director on ‘Black’ (2005).

Speaking to Mid Day, Kapoorsaid, “If I had to, then it would be the time when I assisted Mr. Bhansali on ‘Black’, because that was the time I really switched from just being an aimless slacker boy to somebody who wants to do something in his life related to films… He (Bhansali) was a great mentor, he was a great teacher, so to write something about that would be interesting.”

Bhansali is currently directing ‘Bajirao Mastani’, which stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, while Kapoor is busy working on Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Tamasha’.
