Ranbir Kapoor & four heroines in Kishore Kumar biopic?

In what will be a first for any actor, Anurag Basu’s next which is a Kishore Kumar biopic may well see heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor cast opposite a total of four actresses, BizAsia has learnt. The film will focus on the life of the legendary singer-composer-actor.

The film is currently titled ‘Kishore’ and script preparations are underway. A source close to the project revealed to Hindustan Times, “The film�۪s script is being written. Anurag wants this project to be as close to reality as possible. Kishore Kumar was a legend, so there are a lot of details that need to be taken into consideration when writing the script”.

The source went on to comment, “The heroines will be selected depending on which portions of the singer-actor�۪s life Anurag chooses to cover. If the film is made about the singer�۪s entire life, then there will be four stories as Kishore Kumar had four wives. It�۪s these factors that are taking up a lot of time. The director can�۪t afford to miss out on any of these details”.

The film will be produced by UTV Motion Pictures and should go on the floors towards the tail-end of 2013 or maybe 2014.
