Ranbir Kapoor on “different experience” shooting Sanjay Dutt biopic

Ranbir Kapoor recently shared his thoughts about the Sanjay Dutt biopic and the process he has undergone so far in the work that has gone into the project.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kapoor was unable to get his head around some of the darker days which Dutt has endured. “I am really keeping my fingers crossed for Sanjay Dutt biopic, it was an altogether different experience shooting for the film. I can’t imagine and believe how much can a man go through hell in one life. He has paid for his deeds, made mistakes and got everything in this life. While filming there were times when I would observe him a lot, talk and walk like him but then I started to distance myself from him. After the image and look of Sanjay Dutt was released it was appreciated, but the role that I am portraying is not an act. I hope everyone likes it.”

In relation to having his own successes and setbacks, Kapoor says, “In spite of so many ups and downs in my career, the film industry has always supported me. I still get the opportunity to work with filmmakers like Rajkumar Hirani, Karan Johar and Ayan Mukherji, and if they are casting me then you do feel a sense of belonging.”
