The first two films proved major successes at the box office, so it’s no big surprise that producer Ramesh Taurani is in talks for the third instalment to the ‘Race’ franchise.

“We are still scripting for ‘Race 3’. It’s a very special film and we are keen to take the franchise ahead and make the third instalment,” NDTVreported Taurani stating.

Both ‘Race’ films were directed by Abbas-Mustan, however according to recent reports, news has it that the pair will not be taking part in the third film. When asked about this matter, the producer explained how nothing is finalised as the project is still in it’s very early stages. Earlier it was reported that Saif Ali Khan will be carrying on playing the lead, however, Taurani remained mum about the cast as well, “We will finalise the star cast as soon as the script is ready.”

However tight lipped Taurani decides to be, it’s certain that the producer is under a lot of pressure regarding this project. With ‘Race’ (2008) and ‘Race 2’ (2013) having done so well, he has to be careful and make all the right moves if he want this one to be as, if not more successful.
