Ramesh Sippy inspired by Clint Eastwood
As reported by BizAsia last year, veteran director Ramesh Sippy, who has directed classics such as ��Seeta Aur Geeta�۪ (1972) and ��Sholay�۪ (1975), is returning to the job after a gap of 20 years.�� The filmmaker, who has now wrapped up the shooting of his comeback film, says he is inspired by Hollywood filmmaker Clint Eastwood.
Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Sippy said, ���I can�۪t afford any more long breaks.�� What I want to do, I have to do in the next few years.�� Clint Eastwood who is still making films at 84 is an inspiration to the rest of us to continue.�
Sippy had last directed the Shah Rukh Khan starrer, ��Zamaana Deewana�۪ (1995).
The director�۪s comeback film, titled ��Shimla Mirchi�۪, stars Hema Malini and Rajkummar Rao.�� It is expected to release later this year.
