Ramadan TV gets in trouble over charity appeals
Ramadan TV, which aired on Sky channel 843, during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, has breached broadcasting rules for a ���manipulative facts� charity appeal to encourage viewers to make donations.
The show was broadcast on 3rd of August 2012 at 21:00.
Ofcom said it did not consider that the broadcaster took appropriate steps in this case =to ensure that it exercised the proper degree of responsibility with respect to the content of this religious programme. It was therefore in breach of Rule 4.1.
