Ram Madhvani opens up his upcoming digital show ‘Aarya’ on Hotstar

The world of web series is booming more now than ever before. One of the shining examples of exemplary content in the digital space is director Ram Madhvani’s latest show, Hotstar Specials ‘Aarya’. The trailer of the show was released just a few days back and it has already enchanted the audience with its intriguing storyline, thrilling sequences, and of course, the stellar cast.

The show will see the gorgeous and talented Sushmita Sen in the titular role. The actress who is known to have played brilliant characters in many of her films has been away from the screen for some time. The fans are showing their love and appreciation as she graces the screen with her presence once again. The trailer has gone beyond 25 million views in a very few days on social media.

Talking about his decision to cast Sen in the lead role, director Madhvani says, “Sushmita is the definition of grace and substance in front of the camera. When we developed this show and its lead character, we had to look for someone who plays the several layers of this character with nuance. Sushmita fits this character like a glove.”

He further adds, “Aarya is someone who could go to any lengths to protect her family, especially her kids. And Sushmita seamlessly flowed into the character. No one could be a better choice than Sushmita to play Aarya.”

Hotstar Specials presents ‘Aarya’ starring Sen, Chandrachur Singh, Namit Das, Sikander Kher, and many more in the pivotal roles. The nine-episode crime drama, produced by Ram Madhvani Films (with Amita Madhvani as co-Producer) and co-created and co-directed by Ram Madhvani, is all set to stream on 19th June 2020 on Hotstar globally.
