Ram Gopal Varma: “I don’t share a close with the Bachchan family”

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has opened up about his relationship with the Bachchan clan, despite working with them on films like ‘Sarkar’, ‘Nishabd’ and ‘Department’.

Talking to PTI, Varma said, ���I don�۪t share a close bond with them (Bachchan family). In fact, they never call me for (a) Holi party or anything. My relationship with (the) Bachchan family is professional. Because me and Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan) work a lot, so they (people) assume that (we share a close bond).”

Varma said he wasn’t really in touch with anyone from the industry during his sabbatical. He added, ���I was not in touch with anybody. I don�۪t have friends, I don�۪t go to party (parties) or socialise. I am not a social person. I don�۪t have any kind of relationship with anybody. As I am busy working all the time.”
