Rakul Preet Singh goes legal to clear her name in drugs probe

Rakul Preet Singh moved the Delhi High Court on Thursday to clear her name in the ongoing drugs probe linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise.

A few days ago, the actress’ name popped up, along with Sara Ali Khan and designer Simone Khambatta on a news channel, in which it was reported that Rhea Chakraborty had mentioned their names in her statement to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). However, it is said that Chakraborty had retracted her statement.

Singh is now seeking direction from Delhi High Court to ensure that her name is not maligned in the investigation. A single-judge bench of Justice Navin Chawla has issued notice to the government, Press Council of India and the News Broadcasters Association. The case will be heard on 15th October, according to Mid-Day.
