Rakhi Sawant speaks out against Aamir Khan
Item��girl Rakhi Sawant has never backed away from speaking her mind and standing up for her views. This time, the ‘Nach Baliye’ contestant has spoken out against Aamir Khan’s new show ��Satyamev Jayate�۪ saying that he has stolen the idea of his show from her.
After her reality show ��Rakhi ka Swayamvar�۪ in 2009, Sawant went on to do a talk show called ��Rakhi Ka Insaaf�۪, a show similar to Aamir Khan�۪s. In it, she is seen to��speak to members of the public about their lives. Speaking to the Times of India, Sawant�� commented, ���The show is a complete copy of Rakhi ka Insaaf. They (the production house) have stolen our concept. The format of my show was similar.�
She goes on to express her utmost respect and gratitude for Aamir Khan and maintains that��her problem is with the comparison between the two within society, ��ω�_My only issue is that if Aamir Khan��decides to do a show like this, it is termed social work, but if Rakhi Sawant��anchors a similar show it is termed as business and a means to garner TRPs��_When Aamir does a show like this, he is applauded and when I do a show like this, they say item girl kya insaaf dilayegi?…”
Sawant also��goes onto say how she would like to have a sequel to ��Rakhi Ka Insaaf�۪. When asked if she�۪s��worried if audiences will feel she�۪s just making a publicity stunt, she answers, ���Rakhi sabko buri lagti hai kyunki main hamesha sach bolti hoon (everyone thinks badly of Rakhi because I always speak the truth). But I am not afraid of anyone, because at the end of the day, truth finally comes out…�
