Irshad Kamil, one of the finest lyricists of our times, is allegedly all set to turn director for a film produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. According to the grapevine, the film has been titled ‘Saanjhi’ and will tell the story of three brothers fighting over a property.
A source informedMumbai Mirror, “The casting process has just kicked off. They’re looking for a 40-something actor, and two others in their 30s and late 20s respectively, to play the three leads. The plot revolves around how greed gets the better of them and causes friction within the family. The elder brother is the peace-loving patriarch and is against dividing the family land. But the middle one is gullible while the youngest sibling is carefree.”
While neither Kamil or Mehra have confirmed the project, it is expected to start filming from December.
Mehra is currently busy with the post-production of his upcoming directorial, ‘Mirzya’.
