As filmmakers revisit old classics and make newer versions, Rakesh Roshan is one director who wants to leave the past in the past. There’s one film in particular he feels shouldn’t be touched.

According to Asian Age, when the director was asked about re-making the 1988 hit film ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’, he expressed how a film like that wouldn’t be made in the same way. “No, you can’t make such films again, because nobody can recreate the magic all over again,” Roshan stated.

He went on to add, “I don’t think there’s any point in remaking such a classic film and I wouldn’t want this film to be remade. It was a different time then; you can’t adapt the same style now.”

The film starred Rekha as the lead, and was highly applauded for it woman-centric genre and gripping story. Now known as a cult classic, ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’ is known as one of Rekha’s most powerful performances.
