Popular filmmaker, Rakesh Roshan has expressed his desire to cast Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan in the remake of his blockbuster film ‘Karan Arjun’ (1995).

Incidentally, the admission by Rakesh comes after the much publicised box office clash between King Khan and Hrithik later this month when ‘Raees’ and ‘Kaabil’ go head-to-head.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Rakesh said, “I am very fond of Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri. I am really close to his entire family. I remember shooting for Krazzy 4 (2008) in which Hrithik was supposed to do a special number. But he had to back out at the last moment due to a knee injury. When I discussed the problem with Shah Rukh Khan, He immediately agreed to do the song.”

He added, “Hrithik will also star in my movies. If ever I work on a two-hero film like Karan Arjun where both male actors have equal roles, I will approach Shah Rukh.”
