Rakesh Roshan: “I’ll never direct a film without Hrithik”

Fresh from celebrating his 70th birthday, legendary filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has had quite a testing time this year after being treated for a life-threatening ailment. There was also a public falling-out with daughter Sunaina going against her family.

However, his son, Hrithik Roshan has had box office success with both his releases ‘Kaabil’ and ‘Super 30’ performing exceptionally well at the ticket window. Talking about his son, who he will be working with again for ‘Krrish 4’, Rakesh was cited in Deccan Chronicle, “Nothing is finalised yet, except that my son Hrithik will star in it. I will never direct a film without Hrithik in the lead.”

Recently, Rakesh’s friend, Rishi Kapoor recently said that he never got his due in Bollywood. However, Rakesh has no qualms about his place in the industry. He said, “I couldn’t have asked for more. As a leading man, I had many hits in the 1970s. Then as a director, I’ve seen many successes, but above all, I have got a fabulous and supportive family. What more do I need?”
