Rajya Sabha nominations for Rekha and Sachin Tendulkar

India�۪s Council of State, Rajya Sabha, have nominated��cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and Bollywood prima donna Rekha to be a part of their council.��The nominations were carried out after approval from��President Pratibha Patil.

The��Times of India��reported that��members��of the film fraternity have been giving their best wishes. Juhi Chawla stated, �����If they accept and go to the parliament, I wish them all the best. If good people are nominated for good positions, then they will do good work. This will also lead to growth so I wish them all the best.�۝ Onir, director of ��My Brother Nikhil�۪ (2005), commented; ���I wish them all the best, both Sachin and Rekha. Their contribution is immense; Sachin has such incredible contribution to India. I wish them all the best.�۝

Reports also state that Tendulkar has accepted the nomination but��the members of Parliament are still anticipating Rekha�۪s response.
