Rajkummar Rao signed up to play lead in Dharma Productions’ next?

Rajkummar Rao is one of the sought after actors in the Indian films industry, with a number of hit films under his belt.

Rao is now rumoured to have been lured by Dharma Productions for one of their upcoming sequels.

A source told Deccan Chronicle, “The director is yet to be confirmed, but the makers want Rajkummar to play an important role in a film sequel that they are planning. The earlier film has also been produced by Dharma and the makers feel that Rao is an apt choice for the film. It is not clear as to what the sequel in question is all about.”

Rao’s ‘Stree’ broke the Rs. 100 crore barrier last year. He is expected to work on the ‘Stree’ sequel also soon.

The source added, “Karan Johar also saw the rise of Vicky Kaushal earlier and locked him for Takht, but that was before Vicky performed the surgical strike. With Rao, it has taken a while in coming as he has always been busy with many happening projects.”
