Popular actor Rajkummar Rao has opted out of the Chetan Bhagat novel adapted movie ‘Revolution 2020’.
Rao, who starred in the film ‘Citylights’ did reasonably well at the box office, said date issues forced him to leave the project. Apparently, ‘Revolution 2020’ was clashing with Ramesh Sippy’s film.
The film was set to go on the floors in September. A replacement actor will be confirmed in the coming days.
Producer, Siddharth Roy Kapur of Disney India said he was disappointed at Rao’s decision but was looking forward to working with him soon.
