Rajkummar Rao hikes fee for ‘Chupke Chupke’ remake?

Coming from a humble background Rajkummar Rao is one name that is on everyone’s radar. With a bigger line of successes, it seems everyone wants him to be a part of their project, which is why he has now decided to rank up his fee. Apparently, he has raised his fee for his forthcoming role in Luv Ranjan’s ‘Chupke Chupke’ (1975) remake.

“Raj has been paid to the tune of Rs 9 crore for ‘Chupke Chupke’, which is also by far the highest he has received so far. But he totally deserves it,” Pinkvilla reports a source stating.

Still in its early stages, apparently Rao will be reviving the role played by Dharmendra. Talking about the project, another source was reported explaining, “Luv has been planning the film for sometime now. The whole essence and storyline will remain almost the same, with a few additions in terms of the style.”

“It’s being made to suit the modern era and Raj has been locked to play Dharmendra’s role from the original. They are on the hunt for the other lead cast but as of now, only initial talks have happened with a few A-list actors,” they added.
