Rajkumar Santoshi to launch Mithun Chakraborty’s son

Rajkumar Santoshi is finally back with his next film ‘Badboy’, which will be a launch pad for new star kids Namashi Chakraborty and Amrin Qureshi.

According to Sajid Qureshi, film producer and Amrin’s father, both actors have been selected for the roles based on their acting skills,“He (Santoshi) had several rounds of auditions before deciding on them and thereafter put both of them through some acting workshops,”, Mumbai Mirror reported.

Qureshi also shared that Namashi’s father, superstar Mithun Chakraborty, is very happy about this opportunity, “Any father would be pleased to have his child launched by Rajkumar Santoshi, it means the film is in safe hands.”

‘Badboy’ has begun filming in Bangalore. The film will also have a brief shooting schedule in Mumbai and a few song shoots overseas. Speaking on the film, Santoshi revealed, “I have explored many genres in the arena of filmmaking. One of my favourite genre is romantic comedies. We have come up with an interesting and quirky story with ‘Badboy’ and together with producer Sajid Qureshi hope to give audiences an exciting entertainer.”
